Just a little update...
Alright my few readers, I'm updating. Although I don't have any pictures to update with so it'll be short and sweet.
We're moved in and settled, it's easy when you don't have much furniture...
Anyway, we really like our ward here. We have felt especially welcomed and they put us right to work. Our second or third week I was called as a primary sunbeam teacher and not long after that Tyler was called as the elder's quorum president. So we, especially Tyler, have been busy! (Since it is also busy season for Tyler at work).
Emri and I went to Utah for a couple weeks in March, we had fun visiting with family but Emri was sick and weaning so it was kind of tough, but we had lots of help and we made it through!
It is getting really hot here, we hit 100 this week, a little too early but hopefully it'll cool down again before it gets SUPER hot!
Stay tuned, maybe I'll get the picture situation figured out...

Another Yummy Recipe: Oatmeal Bars
I made this for a friend who took some bridals of me for our 2nd anniversary. (Pictures to come)
1 cup flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup milk
2 cups quick oats
1 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1. Heat oven to 375. Coat an 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a small bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together. In a large bowl, beat sugar and butter on med-high until fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Reduce speed to low and beat in milk, then flour mixture. Stir in oats and 1 cup of the chocolate chips.
3. Spread batter into prepared baking pan. Bake at 375 for 35 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack. Microwave remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips for 30 seconds; stir until smooth and drizzle over bars. Cut into squares. Makes 16 bars. Enjoy!
